Welcome to Awakening Bodywork for Women. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and your engagement of our services. By booking a session or using this site, you agree to these terms.

 

1. Our Services

Awakening Bodywork for Women provides therapeutic massage and bodywork services. Our services are intended to support relaxation, stress reduction, and general wellbeing.
 

Bodywork is not a replacement for medical care. Our services are not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a licensed physician or other healthcare provider. We do not diagnose illness or injury, prescribe medication, or perform spinal adjustments. If you have a medical concern, please consult your healthcare provider.


2. Booking & Appointments

  • Appointments may be booked by phone, email, or through our online booking system.

  • Please arrive on time. Late arrivals will receive the remaining time of the scheduled session, and the full session fee will apply.

  • We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service at our discretion.


3. Cancellations & No-Shows

We reserve your appointment time exclusively for you.

  • 24 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule.

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged a % or the whole session fee.

  • Missed appointments without notice may be charged the full session fee.

We understand that emergencies happen. Please contact us as soon as possible and we will work with you.


4. Payment

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless arranged otherwise.

  • We accept Cash, Check and Credit Card.

  • Prices are subject to change. Any price change will not affect appointments already booked.


5. Gift Certificates & Packages

  • Gift certificates and prepaid packages are non-refundable and non-transferable for cash.

  • Gift certificates expire within 1-year of activation.

  • Packages must be used within 1-year of purchase.


6. Health Information & Consent

  • You agree to disclose all relevant health conditions, injuries, medications, allergies, and pregnancy status before your session, and to inform us of any changes at subsequent visits.

  • You may decline or modify any part of a session at any time, for any reason.

  • You may ask to stop the session at any point.

  • Professional draping is used at all times, and only the area being worked on will be undraped.


7. Professional Boundaries

Awakening Bodywork for Women provides strictly professional, therapeutic services.

Any request for or suggestion of sexual or inappropriate conduct will result in immediate termination of the session, payment of the full session fee, refusal of future service, and, where appropriate, a report to law enforcement.


8. Minors

Clients under 18 require the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who must remain present for the duration of the session.


9. Personal Belongings

We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal items brought to our location. Please leave valuables at home.


10. Website Use

  • All content on this site — including text, images, and branding — is the property of Awakening Bodywork for Women and may not be reproduced without written permission.

  • Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

  • Information on this site is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awakening Bodywork for Women is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of this website or our services. You are responsible for disclosing health information that may affect your suitability for bodywork.


12. Privacy

Your use of this site and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.


13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to this page with a revised date.


14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
